Fleet operators can save around 6,000 kilos of CO2 and 2,500 euros in fuel per year by equipping semi-trailer roofs with solar panels. M.S.I.E. facilitate in this true product and EPC service. M.S.I.E. expects to supply trailer companies with solar modules in Europe (Belgium, Holland, France, Germany, Denmark….).

Solar modules of only 1,4 millimetres thick, can deliver fuel savings of up to 5.5 percent. In addition, maintenance costs are reducing wear and tear. "Depending on the type of driving schedule and vehicle, in our climate this amounts to a saving of 2,500 euros per year. "This is because the alternator no longer has to generate electricity for the truck's equipment.

The advantages of solar sliding shutters
A skipper can save money as well as energy by fitting his hatches with solar panels. For example, a ship with an electric motor, for example Hybrid or diesel-electric, can use the obtained solar energy for propulsion to save fuel.

Ships that do not use electric propulsion also benefit from installing the solar sliding hatches. Thanks to these hatches, they are less dependent on diesel generators for the power supply on board.
